![]() Replaced it with an aftermarket cooler and CPU is running fairly cool now, but still getting the crash. Turned out CPU heat sink had a snapped retention pin. I was monitoring my temps thinking maybe it was overheating, but only issue was with CPU. Only way to reboot is to hold the power button. ![]() No ctrl-alt-del, no reset button, nothing works. It seems to always crash with a noise, like it's stuck repeating the last quarter-second of audio and the video is totally frozen. It was usually crashing when I'd quit the game, but not consistently. ![]() Is there some way to isolate which module is causing it without pulling them one at a time and re-testing? Started running again (still going) and test 13 provided some errors within minutes citing some sort of memory "hammer" issue. Unfortunately, I thought hitting (y)es would save the results, but it did not. UPDATE 1: I tried memtest86 overnight since I didn't completely trust the Windows memtest and it failed. UPDATE 2: Apparently memtest86's test 13 doesn't actually have anything to do with actual memory defects/reliability, and since the other tests yielded no problems, I will assume the memory is OK and the issue is elsewhere.
